Los Angeles day 4{ the last day.

On the the last day of our vacation, my family went to another beach called Santa Monica beach.

In that beach I built another sand castle but it wasn't good so I started walking in the waves my dad made a really good sand castle that looked like a foot. My sister and her friend built lots and lots of sand castles, but most of the got washed away.

When I went deeper into the waves, I saw some with hair sticking out of the sand. I pulled the hair and out came a clam! When I looked more closely I saw many clams. I pulled as many of the clams as I could. For a few of them the insides were still sticking out when I pulled them from the sand.

For about half and hour I could not see my mother any way suddenly she returned. She said that she had been running across the beach. She said that the other side was really good.

I had a very good time but then, we had to leave Los Angeles.

Los Angeles day 3

On the third day my family didn't have too much in the schedule so we had a relaxing day on the beach. We drove to a beach called Huntington Beach. It was really fun.

The first thing I did was to build a sand castle. I built it on dry sand far away from the sea. Then I went closer to the waves and collected lots of shells to put inside my sand castle.

My sand castle was like a big mountain of sand, but it was hollow inside. After I finished with the first wall, I started on my second wall. When I was just finishing my third wall, A big wave came and just washed away the 2 of the walls. After that, I made my first wall really big and thick, so thick that when I punched the wall, it did not break. When I finished with my 1st wall, I made my second.

This time I really thought my wall was invincible. So I took a break to go to the bathroom. When I came back guess what? The 2 outer walls broke down again! It seemed like the waves only struck my castle when I'm either not ready or gone. I gave up trying to fix the castle over and over.

This time I went further to the waves where I picked up shells. I picked up many colored shells, small ones and big. My sister was really funny because when the waves got into her imaginary circle of 15 feet, she would run away as fast as she could. We played for three hours until we could play no more. Finally, we drove back to our hotel.

Los Angeles day 2

On the second day my family drove to Sea World. It was really fun to go there. I will tell you about this amazing trip.

The first thing I did was watch the Shamu show. My mom told me a pretty funny thing about the killer whales. Every time they whales did a trick, they ate some fish. Those whales were huge!

The next thing we did was to watch the sea lions and otters. The show was really funny and the sea lions were awesome! 2 otters swam with a ball on their nose. Next the went to a bamboo stick and the the ball into the air, catching the ball on the other side of the bamboo.

I wanted to go to the shark place, so we went there the was an underwater tube so we could see the fish from beneath it. The largest shark they had was not very large.

My favorite ride was a ride called the Shipwreck Rapids. That one makes you get completely soaked though. You ride in a little round boat. Then you go down in a huge rapid so the waves go all over and into the ship. Since nobody was doing the ride, I did it 3 times in a row.

I had a really fun day at Sea world, it was one of the best places I have ever been to!

Los Angeles Day 1

Last Saturday at 7:00 I started my trip to Los Angeles. On the way the my sister and I played some games. We drove for 2 hours and then stopped at a gas station and all went to the bathroom.

When we got to Los Angeles my dad drove to the hotel and went straight to the bed I sat on the bed and watched TV. We came with another family. Since they were not tired they went to look at the ship Queen Mary that ship fought in world war 2. When we got up the told us that you had to pay a lot to get in the ship.

That night my family went to eat a Chinese restraunt. It was pretty good. Every morning, no matter how much I ate last night, I wake up hungry. Very, Very hungry!That day was fun but I didn't sleep well the first day. I was to excited thinking about tomorrow.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Wii

Last Friday I got the game Black Ops as a present. It was a really fun game. I play it a lot. Let me tell you about this game.

You can have many kinds of guns. Sometimes when you step over a dead body that has a gun near it,you will get ammo. If they have a different gun, there will be a note on your screen that says hold A to get new weapon. In the mission where you will destroy a rocket don't use a sniper rifle called the Dragonovich.

All of the missions so far have a kind of hard part to them. In the first mission it is when you have to blow the trucks in front of you plane from your tank. In the jail mission where you had to stay alive behind a coal cart was the hard part.

Right now I am stuck in the Vietnamese war. I am supposed to blow up 3 tanks that were attacking the base. I am always dieing when I try to get the mines to blow up the tank. When I attack the men the tank attacks me. So far that is all I have gotten to.

The Revolutionary war

This war started when the Colonists refused to pay certain taxes. Angry about this the king of Britain sent armies to attack the colonists. A british spy reported that in the city of Concord there was gunpowder. The king sent 300 soldiers to get the gunpowder. But to get to concord they had to pass Lexington. So they went there at night to get away unnoticed. The minute men, people of the city militia, attacked the british. Still the minute mens numbers were to small. Like that the war began.

The main weapon used in this war is the Smoothbore musket. It is 3 feet 8 inches long and fired a one-ounce ball. It was quite hard to reload a musket though. First you have to cock the flintlock. The next step is to take some gunpowder and put in a small opening in the musket barrel. Then, you took an iron stick and shoved it into the barrel.

When the British were going back, many militia went in small groups to attack. The farmers didn't. Know that they had so much people so they stayed back. They kept on chasing until they trapped the British in Boston. Overnight the militia made a giant fort on Breeds hill. In the morning, all the british sent a charge to attack the fort. The first charge failed and many british people died. Almost no colonists died. The British had to do three complete charges to finally capture the fort. The British had 1154 out of 2200 soldiers dead. The militia only had 411 killed out of 1500 soldiers.

There was many more battles, but I wanted to tell you this one because it was my favorite.

Amanda's Birthday

Today was my sister's birthday party. She was turning 4 today. The place she went to was little gym. It was a fun place.

The first thing we did in the little gym was to have free play. Then we played a game called knock the cheese. I jumped in the air and landed on the mattress sideways. We had a fun time and played lot of games. My sister was playing a lot with a girl named Abrianna. We played and played many games, then we all stood in a line and marched into a room.

In the room we ate pizza and drank juice. My sister was still eating when the cake came. I was full. I finished my second slice of pizza when Abrianna was on her first. My dad helped my sister blow the candles. We all ate cake. I don't really like any kind of cake. At about 7:00 we all went home.

Bowling

Yesterday I went bowling. It was very fun. It started at 7:00 and ended at 9:30. I can't wait to tell you about it.

On my first try in my first game, I got a strike. I was winning all the way until a person named Micheal won. Later I went to the arcade with him to play games. The rest of my scores was not very good.

When I first lifted an eight pounder ball I nearly collapsed. I asked for a six pounder which was pretty good. Near the end of the game I started using 12 pounded balls. Those were really heavy so I used both hands and threw the ball.

Today I just figured out why the bowling place is so slippery.Like some houses they also put oil like things on their floor. If you didn't put oil on the floor then the bowling balls will break the floor because they're so heavy. With oil it won't break. Yesterday I had a fun time at the Palo Alto Bowl!

Christmas

I am very excited about Christmas. I will get lots of things from friends.I might also have a party. Every year, I have a party on the night before Christmas. We bring presents and eat at someones house.

The party goes to 12:00 sometimes! We play games and computer. Sometimes we draw pictures on paper and cardboard. Once we all got bored so we went outside to have a big water fight and with a hose.

At the next day, I open all my presents including Santa's. Many of them used to be Lego but now they are mostly gift cards. I'm okay with both. I like gift cards more because you can buy what you want with it.

I was writing this because it is almost Christmas. Everyone is getting into holiday spirit and on the radio it is singing Christmas songs like "Your a mean one Mr.Grinch", or "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". I can't wait for Christmas!

Wall Street Singers

Today at school I went to the multi to listen to a big group of high schoolers sing. They were called the Wall Street Singers. These singers were very,very,very good.

There are lots of pitches. I only remember one called the Base, it is the lowest one. Some of the singers were base. All of these people could hold their breath for almost 3 minutes!! I could only hold for about 1.

They sang lots of songs but I only knew one of the song out of all of them. It was Deck The Halls. One of the song was even in Latin! They sang many songs. Compared to our chorus we were like nothing. They sang at the perfect time with the perfect voices.

I listened a long time. At the end we got to grade them. At last, they went away. We all went to our class rooms to start doing work again.

Japan

Today I finished reading a book called Japan. It was all about Japan. It also was a pretty good book. Today I am right about the important facts.

These Japanese people have many festivals. One Festival is where they make a life size building out of snow!! It takes 2000 people to Build one castle. That day many tow trucks and people carried all the snow they could get to the place. It takes nearly one month to finish it.

Another tradition is making tea. They serve broiling water to the guests and put the tea things in there. This whole time the people are silent. They think it is respectful to do so.

The Japanese people sometimes even look at things different. Instead of looking at the main thing. They look at the room around it. I learned alot of interesting things about Japan when I read the book.

Persia

I read a book about Persia let me tell you about it. The book wasn't very long, but it had lots of information.

The Persians had lots of battle with Greeks. One Persian King called Xerxes made a long bridge by lining boats from side to side and then tying planks. About ten thousand warriors marched across to attack Athens. The Greeks had heavy armor though. They also used strategy. When the Persians marched across, The Greeks spread out and the broke into two small armies and attacked the sides. Well then, the Greeks won. The Persians fled to there ships and went away.

After all the battles the Persians have been through, { it was about 20 }The Persians only won one. At the end the Persian empire collapsed.

The Persians were a very rich population though. They also rarely ate fish. The only utensil they used for eating was a knife! The disposal for bones were on the ground. And for a knife they also had to bring there own!

The Persians had many Kings. More than half were murdered by trusted servants or friends. Many years later the Persian empire was no more. Alexander the great conquered the land. That was what I learned from the book.

Shaolin Monks

On a Monday, I watched a Kung-fu show some time ago. It was about 2 hours long and amazing. The masters did a lot of moves I never imagined.

One of my favorite moves was a move called the metal breaking head. 2 of the best Monks practiced a thing called chi gong. Chi gong is a thing that concentrates all of your power into one spot. One of them took a metal stick and broke the bar on his head. The other one used 2 metal bars at the same time and broke it.

Another cool move was when the monk used a needle and a thick piece of glass. Another person put balloons on the other side of the glass. The monk jabbed the glass with the needle, and ... the balloons popped!!

After, the monks did a bunch of other moves. Then, it was question time. People asked lots of questions. Finally,I got a picture with the Monks and went home.

Flying a Kite

Yesterday I flew a kite. My dad drove to Shoreline so we can fly. I flew first and my dad helped me. Then I started slowly unraveling the string until it got all the way into the air.

My kite is a dragon. It has and orange belly,big yellow wings, and a purple tail. Its wing span is about 2 feet across. Its eyes are glass. My dragon is really easy to fly, but I don't get to fly it alot.

I kept on unraveling till it was at the full length. It was just a small spot on the sky. I learned if you tug on the sting softly over and over you can make it go higher. If you jerk it hard, you can make the wing look like they are flapping.

I flew my kite for 40 minutes and the I had to leave. I made the kite do a really low dive right on top of my sister then stopped it and got in the car.

Dale's Birthday Party

This Saturday I went to my friend Dale's birthday at Sky High. In Sky High, there was free play arena where there is a room made up of trampolines. Another place is dodge ball trampoline arena. I was in the free play arena doing flips since I was jumping so high. I also ran onto the walls.

In the dodge ball I got out the first time I went in because a 16 year old hit me. Then the next few games I survived till the end. I kept on switching and racing with Dale. It was really fun. At the free play arena, I kept on jumping and racing. It was raining that day, but I was completely covered in sweat!

Next I ate pizza. I ate 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and ate cake. The cake was Oreo ice cream cake. It was one of the best I have ever tasted.

After I ate cake, I played one last game of dodge ball and went all the way home. At Home I had a good time and went to sleep.

Pumpkin Pie

Today at school we made pumpkin pie. First half of my group including me, made the crust. First we added 2 cups of flour, the 1 full cup of butter. We mashed those two together until they were combined. We opened a can of evaporated milk and poured a little bit and took it out of the plate. We made it into crust!

After we made a crust, my half of the group made the pie part. When we made the pie I put an egg, and cinnamon and lots of other things. We mixed it all together and took it to the ovens.

At 2:00 when we were all bored from work the pies came. My class's buddies also came to eat the pie we made.We at the pie and had lots of fun. But then, our buddies had to go we said good bye and went outside for free play.

What a fun afternoon I had!

King Arthur part 3

The roman soldiers all prepared themselves from the Saxon's oncoming attack.The knights dressed in roman armor and waited inside the castle.When the Saxons charged in, there was nobody there.

All of a sudden, a shower of arrows hit the Saxons through the mist. The woman with an army of archers stood upon a tall cliff where the Saxons couldn't see them.Through the mist charged the 8 knights. They slashed and hacked, and before any Saxons could react, the knights rode away.

This time the army shot flaming arrows. The knights rode out again, attacking the Saxons. By then there were no Saxons left.But, that was only a little part of the Saxon army.

The rest of the army,hearing silence all charged into the fortress. They ran straight into the arrows.The arrow army charged and got out their swords.Lots of the army died but the knights charged plus the romans.

At the end, Lancelot and 2 other knights died. I didn't explain the full story so you can watch it yourself

Pizza

Today at swim school I had a pizza party. We got to make our own pizza, which was pretty fun.I was one of the last to be called so I was starving by then.

When I actually got to the kitchens I found out that we made our own pizza. I put as much cheese as I could. Then I put some pepperoni and no olives. I went back to watch the movie as they put my pizza in the oven.

The pizza's bread smelled good and was covered in cheese. The cheese was really good. The pepperoni was almost like salami. I did not put that much of pepperoni. The olives were black.I did not put any olives!

When my pizza was good I started getting food. I got some grapes, alot of doritoes, and a ton of barbecue lays. Then I started watching a movie called Toy Story Three. At first I thought the movie was weird. But now I know the movie is actually really funny.

At 7:30 the movie ended. My mom picked me up and my dad drove us home.

King Arthur

Part 2 One of the nights with a big axe busted open the stones. He found another door that was looked from the inside. He kicked the door until it opened. Inside was a religious jail with priests and people. All the people were inside a green jail. Some were already dead but a child and woman were still alive.

They took the child and the woman and evacuated. All the knights rode ahead to scout while the townspeople walked or sat in carriages. They were all wondering if the Saxons would catch up to them.

All of a sudden, they got to a plain of ice. The knights said they would stay with alot of arrows and bows to attack the Saxons. By then, all of the villagers could hear the drums of the Saxon's army.

The Saxons stopped a about 50 yards in front of the Knights and started advancing. King Arthur told them to shoot at the right of the army to make the Saxons cluster. What he said worked the Saxons all went to clump together so the Knights could shoot them.

Without hesitation the Knight with the Axe rushed out and started attacking the ice. One arrow from the Saxons hit him, the 2 arrows, at last three. AT the third arrow though, he cracked the ice all open so must of the Saxons died in the water, of fled.

At last the knight with the rich family reached the roman wall again. They were given there freedom but the still had to fight the main army of the Anglo Saxons. The Battle had really just began.Part 2

King Arthur

On Sunday I watched a movie called "The Legend Of King Arthur". The movie was almost 2 hours long, but it was really good. In the movie it said King Arthur was related to a person thousands of years earlier in the dark ages. Now I'm going to tell you about it.

King Arthur had a group of eight knights called the Knights of the Round Table. They were escorting a roman cart to go behind a roman wall. The Knights had to be working for the romans until they got freedom.

The knights plus the cart was going forward when suddenly a big rabble of wild people came to attack them. The knights rode on their horses, and charged across the hill to attack the wild men. They fought most and the rest ran away. Then the romans reached the roman wall.

The roman wall was an ancient wall that was 63 miles long with roman guards patrolling the walls. When the knights got back to the wall, the Bishop said that they had one more mission to do before they were set free. The mission was to escort a rich family to the wall and help them defeat a raid of Saxons. The Saxons were viking like people with big beards and lots of fur. They were also like vikings when it comes to temper. The can fight amongst themselves 5 times a day.

So a first light the knight rode on horses to finish their mission. At the woods there suddenly was a shower of arrows with spiky chains so the horses cannot move. The knight drew the sword and cut the chains. They attacked the wild men that was attacking them back and then made their horses get out of the woods to the plains.

They were crossing the mountains when it started snowing. But they got to the rich person's house all ready. The rich person refused to go. But at the end he went. They were about to go when the saw a person piling bricks on a stone door... part 1
